The Kenwood Elementary Media Center provides a wide range of media services in our "state of the art" Media Center. Students enjoy the use of our 20 new computers which provide Internet access. Mrs. Rogers, the Media Specialist, provides not only reading enrichment for all students, but also instructs students in grades 2-8 in the use of the Internet, the new Miami-Dade County's Online Reference Resources, techniques, tips and use of the computer as well as encouraging students to participate in reading programs. The "Sunshine State Reader Program," the "Accelerated Reader Program" and the "Florida Reading Association Program" are available to our students.

Our Media Center is a great place for students not only to choose books from our large, updated book collection,  and  to visit the Geosafari Talking Globe Activity Centers, Brainquest, Field Guide Centers, Reading Tent Center, but also to relax and read in one of our many comfortable and very unique reading areas.
